Microbiological Quality Control for Cosmetic Products

Quality control of cosmetic products is fundamental to ensure both safety and high performance of the formulations and raw materials in order to verify that these characteristics remain constant over time.

The microbiological cosmetic testing laboratories work to ensure purity and quality of products. The characterization and quantification of microorganisms in cosmetic products are performed both on finished and intermediate products and for the monitoring of production environments. Moreover, tests are also carried out to evaluate the efficacy of antimicrobial preservation agents.
